Glitter Shamrock Button Covers by Crafty Journal

Glitter shamrock button covers are a quick way to add holiday elegance to an everyday blouse.

Glitter Shamrock Button Covers - Crafty Journal

They are very easy to make and attractive to use.

Glitter Shamrock Button Covers - Crafty Journal

Here’s an easy way to make a shamrock from craft foam or you can buy shamrock glitter stickers.

Supplies.

Craft Knife

How to Make Glitter Shamrock Button Covers.

1. Choose a shamrock that is 1 1/2 to 2 inches in size.

Do NOT remove the backing from the sticker.

2. Mark the center of the shamrock.

3. Using a craft knife, make a small slit starting slightly above the center mark and end slightly below it, with the slit running up and down.

Glitter Shamrock Button Covers - Crafty Journal

Keep the slit barely large enough for the button to slip through.

Don’t get too close to the edge of the shamrock.

4. Button the blouse / shirt.

Slip a shamrock onto a button through the slit.

Glitter Shamrock Button Covers - Crafty Journal

Cover several of the buttons with shamrocks for a finished look.
