My headlights had become so clouded, the light could barely shine through.
I had read about using toothpaste to clear the headlights and thought I would give it a try.
I went to the Dollar Store and bought a tube of Pepsodent, and checked to make sure it was a white paste.
I didn’t want gel or some odd speckled stuff.
Materials.
White Toothpaste ( I used Pepsodent)
Soft Rag
Paper Towels
Water
How to Clean Your Headlights.
1. Squirt some toothpaste onto the headlight.
Using a clean rag, scrub the toothpaste over the headlight, concentrating on the worst areas. Really rub it on.
2. Spray the headlight with water, or use a wet paper towel to remove the toothpaste.
3. Wipe dry.
4. Repeat if the headlight is really bad. I did mine twice.
And here’s the result.
If the cloudiness has been there for years, the toothpaste may not work as well.

Thanks so much for this post. My headlights are messy as well. Even have a tube of Pepsodent handy 🙂 I looked at the kits at a store and the materials were rather expensive. I will clean my lights tomorrow …
Thanks again,
Karine

That looks great.
I tried it on my honda and it didn’t budge.
My daughter tried it on her Honda and it worked great.
