Thanksgiving Thankfulness Crafts

By Noreen Leave a Comment

Making Thanksgiving thankfulness crafts is a creative way to express our thoughts.

Thanksgiving is a time of year to slow down and remember all the blessings we have to be thankful for.

Many ideas for ways to share your thankfulness are offered here.

Ways to Show Thanks

This link has a several ideas for showing thankfulness using leaves.

There is a clever idea for using a Native American headband with the thoughts on the feathers.

A cute turkey has thoughts on his tail feathers.

Gratitude Wreath

This is a nice way to share your thankfulness, and have a beautiful wreath. You could buy the fall leaf packs so that the leaves would be more durable.

Thankful Tree

A very interesting tree that you could use year after year.

Thankful Tree

Nice Thankful Tree is made with silk leaves, bought for 99 cents at the Dollar Store. Or if you really wanted to, you could make your own leaves.

Leaf Thankful Tree

This tree is made from a branch in your yard. You can cut the leaves out of colored paper or craft foam, or buy fake ones to use.

Thanksgiving Tree

This tree uses cuttings planted in a pot. The blessings are written on small pieces of paper, rolled up, and tied to the tree.

Paper Cornucopia of Thanks

Popsicle sticks are used for writing what you are thankful for and then put in the cornucopia. This could be made more colorful with a few flowers or leaves.

Thankfulness Paper Chain

This could make a very long chain if you started making it the first of November and added ideas every day or so.

Thankful Tree with Kids Hand Prints

Use corkboard or poster board to make this tree, using handprints for the leaves.

Mayflower Ship of Thanksgiving

Make this ship from a cardboard milk carton, and then use it to hold your Thanksgiving messages.

Thankful Thanksgiving Tablecloth

With permanent pens, write your Thanksgiving message on a tablecloth which you will use every year. Can’t find a tablecloth? Look for a sheet that can be cut down.

Thankful Turkey

This stitched felt Thankful Turkey is made in such a way that you can reuse it year after year. It has little pockets for your thankful ideas.

Give Thanks Turkey

Here’s another Thankful Turkey that the kids can make.

Thankful Candy Dish

A really nice idea for expressing your appreciation for your blessings, this thankful candy dish is a glass bowl etched with your sentiments.

Clothespin Thanksgiving Wreath

Paint clothespins in fall colors and attach them to a wire wreath to make this clothespin Thanksgiving wreath. Write what you are thankful for on each clothespin.
