This morning I noticed rust stains on a shelf in the shower, left by a metal can of shaving gel that had been sitting in water.
I decided to try my usual cleaner, and it worked quickly and easily.
I sprinkled some baking soda on the rust stain and then added a little white vinegar to make a paste.
With just a bit of scrubbing using a paper towel, the stain came right up.
To prevent future rust on the shelf, I put a plastic lid from a margarine tub on the shelf to hold the can of gel.

This came at the perfect time! My husband’s shaving foam can left a ring on our white sink. Thanks!!!

I use a coke cozy to place on shaving creme can, prevents rust rings 😉

That’s a good idea too!
