One way to dry paint quickly is to set your project outside on a warm sunny day.
But if you are crafting at night, when it’s windy, or when you don’t have good weather, you need to find another way.
I’ve discovered that a hair dryer works beautifully to speed my projects along when I’m waiting for paint or Mod Podge to dry.
I don’t have a lot of patience when I’m crafting, and I just want to get on to the next part in the creative process.
So I always keep a hair dryer handy.
A few things to keep in mind:
If the item is metal, you won’t be able to hold it for very long if the dryer gets it too hot.
Light weight items will blow away, so you need to hold on to them or weight them in some manner.
Be sure you keep the hair dryer moving over the project and don’t stop to dry in one place.

Great tip! Now I’m curious what is going to happen with that black can. It looks like it could be something fun for Halloween.

Good idea… I usually just wait it out, so it is nice to have another option. 🙂

I have never used my hair dryer to dry paint but what a great tip. Thanks for sharing it at Share It One More Time. Cathy

I have no patience either! (And I’m curious about the black can too.) 🙂

Perfect! I don’t have any patience when it comes to letting my paint dry and I always end up with smudges on the project, and paint all over me! Thank you for sharing your tip at Merry Monday!

I always set up a box fan, but I think a small hair dryer would work even better because the air would be aimed directly at the piece I painted. Thanks for linking up at the Bloggers Brags party, I pinned your post to our group board.
