Create a fun pair of glittery fall leaf earrings to dress up for autumn.
You only need a few supplies and a few minutes to make this fun accessory.
If you can’t find glitter leaves or want to make your own, you can find glitter craft foam to create any size or shape leaf you want.
You could also make the leaf from colored card stock and then add glue and sprinkle on glitter.
Supplies.
Glitter Leaves
Jump Rings, 2 each of 2 sizes
Ear Wires, 1 pair
Ice Pick or other sharp pointed tool
Pliers
Glue
How to Make Glittery Fall Leaf Earrings.
1. Because the leaves seemed somewhat fragile , I felt I needed to reinforce the edges of the hole.
I made a little puddle of glue on the back where I wanted to make the hole for the jump ring.
Spread the glue very slightly with a toothpick. Let dry.
2. Punch a hole in the center of the dried glue spot on each leaf with an ice pick.
Ream it out just enough to allow the jump ring to fit through.
3. Open the larger jump ring and put it through the hole in the leaf tip.
Close the jump ring.
4. Open the smaller jump ring and put it through the larger jump ring and the loop at the bottom of the ear wire.
Close the jump ring.
5. Repeat with the other earring at the stem end.
Your earrings are finished.
Tips.
If you hang both of the leaves from the point end, you only need 1 jump ring in each. The stem end requires 2 jump rings.
You can make the earrings both the same color, but I wanted different colors like fall leaves are.
