For months I had an impossible to remove hard build-up on my glass stovetop.
I tried everything I could think of to remove it, and nothing worked. I even used the stuff made specifically for that purpose. Nothing!

I had read that you could gently scrape burned on stains off using a razor blade, so I tried that. I was able to get a little off, but it was difficult to do while trying not to scratch the surface of the stovetop.
Inspiration struck! Dawn is great on grease, so I poured a thin drizzle of Dawn dishwashing liquid, undiluted, on the build-up on a glass stove top, and left it for 30 minutes or so while I cleaned up the dishes.
When I went back with the razor, the dawn had softened up the dried on residue, and it came right off!
There was still a light brown stain left behind, so I made a thick paste of baking soda and water, and with a light scrubbing the brown stain disappeared, too.
Fantastic! No elbow grease and no effort. And now I know a quick – and very easy – way to clean build-up from a glass stovetop.
