Here’s a fun, easy gift idea that even toddlers can make.
Mom, Dad, or Grandparents will love having something made by their little one.
And it’s perfect for hot weather.
Older kids can get in on the act, too, and create their own masterpiece.
Materials
Small Cutting Board with Handle (I found mine at Dollar Tree)
Sticker Book or Sheet
Full Size Shipping Label Sticker
Sharpies
How to Make an Easy Fan #1
Remove the wrap from the cutting board and let your child attach stickers to one or both sides of the board.
Be prepared to have the board covered with stickers, as younger children like to fill the entire surface.
Rub over the stickers, pressing firmly to help them adhere better.
Easy Fan # 2
1. Remove the wrap from the cutting boards.
Measure the size of the area you will be covering and cut a piece from the Shipping Label to fit.
2. Let the kids draw and color on the label piece before attaching it to the cutting board.
I found Sharpies worked better on the label surface than colored pencils or crayons (which tended to be very light in color).
Have the kids sign and date their art work.
3. Attach the label piece to the cutting board.
This makes a nice big fan for Mom
or Dad, and perfect for hot weather.
Tips
I noticed that the stickers didn’t want to stay on very well since the surface of the cutting board is bumpy. A spot of glue under each sticker should help this.
I found the Shipping Labels on Amazon.
