Create a creepy Halloween Silverware Holder using a pot holder.

You can have lots of fun with this by using various creepy crawlies and creatures to embellish the holders.

For a Halloween party, the pot holders make a great favor for the guests to take home and use.

They are inexpensive to make as I found the bag of 36 creatures for $1 at the Dollar Store,

and the pot holders were 2 for $1.

Have fun being creative with the bugs!

Materials.

Orange Pot Holders

Black Napkins

Bag of Creatures or Bugs

Large Safety Pins or Needle and Thread

How to Make a Halloween Silverware Holder.

1. Remove the tags from the pot holders.

2. Turn a pot holder so there is a corner at the top and a corner at the bottom.

Fold the 2 side corners to the center and slightly overlap them.

Use a large safety pin to secure the corners together, pinning from inside the pot holder.

3. Wrap a black napkin around the silverware and slip it into the holder.

4. Embellish the holder with the bugs and creatures.

You can attach the bugs with a dot of hot glue, but I just laid the creatures on the holders as I knew the recipients would be using them as pot holders.

Any extra bugs can be scattered around on the table.

Tips.

Instead of using a safety pin to secure the corners, you could sew a stitch or two to hold the corners of the pot holder in place.
